The Diabetes Care Continuum (DDC) program is initiated by His Excellency the Minster of Health in United Arab Emirates , with the aim of reducing the diabetes burden in United Arab Emirates .

The DDC Program, which is managed by the Ministry of Health, is the foundation of a National Diabetes Program in the United Arab Emirates , and consists of nation wide initiatives to improve the efficiency of diabetes management through primary prevention, early detection and proper care to reduce its complications and improve the patients quality of life.

The DCC program covers aspects of healthcare which are essential to a national diabetes program. The activities are multiple and address initiatives within the public awareness, organization of diabetes healthcare management,education of healthcare professionals and patient support.
